June 9, 2009 - The River Raisin Conference is pleased
to announce the roster for the 2009 Southern Michigan Timberwolves tournament team. Those players are Chase Burlen (Mason),
Brett Clark (Dundee), Lucas Diver (Summerfield), Logan Harris (Custer Green), Jake Hempel (Mason), Daniel Killion (Mason),
Dakota Ladd (Summerfield), Tyler Lee (Whiteford), Mitch Long (Carleton), Steve Schankin (Summerfield), Kendall Schnipke (Whiteford),
Brian Tabbert (Whiteford), Dylan Williams (Dundee), and Doug Van Wormer (Ida). These players showed outstanding ability,
hustle, and a strong desire to be team players. Congratulations to all 14 of you!
June 4, 2009 -Timberwolves tryouts are scheduled for Sunday,
June 7th at 6:00pm at SUmmerfield High School. Coaches, please send no more than three players to tryouts.
May 13, 2009 - Reminder
to coaches and directors that rosters and fees are due by May 27th.
May 4, 2009 - The River Raisin Coaches Meeting will be held
on Thursday, May 7th at Carl's Hide-A-Way in Ida. The business portion of the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.
February 18, 2009 -
The RRC is proud to announce a scheduling agreement between our league and Bedford 3B. In addition to the RRC schedule, the
Accelerated conference teams will play an additional 3-4 games versus the Bedford 3B Colt League. A championship contest has
also been agreed on that will pit the RRC Accelerated champion versus the 3B League Champion in a Monroe County Championship
game. The game will be played at the conclusion of the RRC season.
January 15, 2009 - The RRC Directors' meeting will be held on February 5th
at Carl's Hide-A-Way. Meeting time is set for 7:00 pm. RRC business will be tken care of then. Jim Kitchen
of the Monroe County Fair Tournament will be speaking after the RRC business is finished.
December 1, 2008 -Our bi-annual Directors' meeting will be held
in early February. More details to come.
