The River Raisin Conference tournament
team (renamed the Southern Michigan Timberwolves in 2008) began play in 2001 by traveling to the annual Bowling Green tournament
in Bowling Green, OH. The team had a strong showing, finishing in 6th place out of approximately 30 teams. Since that year, the
Timberwolves have traveled to Bowling Green every year, representing the River Raisin Conference. The team finished
with an all-time best finish in 2008. In addition to the
BG tournament, the Timberwolves have played in other tournaments since 2006. Below is a brief history of each team, their
roster, and tournament finishes.
2009 Southern Michigan Timberwolves The 2009 Southern Michigan Timberwolves competed in four tournaments, finishing with an overall
record of 8-7, giving the tournament team its seventh straight winning season. The T-Wolves finished third place in
its own tourney, and 4th place in the Bedford Invitational, highlighting the team's accomplishments on the season. Mason's
Dan Killion took home the home run trophy at the Bedford Invitational, winning the home run derby by slugging 11 over the
